Happy 2012!

According to the Mayan prediction, 21 12 2012 will be earth's final day. In another word, it's dooms day atau hari Kiamat.

Of course, I don't believe in the Mayan prediction. However, if it is true, thank you god for the best birthday present ever cos I wont be celebrating anything after my 30th birthday.

Of course, I don't have anythings else better to do but to google about ancient history. It's fascinating to know about ancient civilization. If this was the subject i studied earlier, I would have been Lara Croft, chewah! But being in Malaysia, what civilization do I need to study other than the old Kedah and Parameswara? hmmm...?

Anyway, Happy 2012!

Let's forget the past and focus on the future.

I have been well. How are you?

in fact I am super well that I almost puke. not in that bad kinda way.

Life has been going well.Of course there are some downs as well but its best to take things as lessons learned. Ayman has been studying so hard that we barely have time together cos hes been working late late late and late all the time.I've been doing a lot of OT and a lot of work still being pending.

Life in 2012 ahead is going to be tough, I think. I some timethink that I need a new job but I am sick of changing jobs. So my main focus this year is to learn something new, which is sewing, and somehow I am bored of it as well.

For 30 years of my life, I have finally realized that if you put your best in something, you can do almost anything. Nothing is impossible. it took me 30 years to learn that I can do anything. Its better late than not but I wished i knew it sooner. I used to think its just crap and something made up to sell on TV. if there is a will, there's a way.

I thought that sewing was really hard and that you need to be really talented to sew. Seriously, anyone can sew. It's not that hard. Just that I am really not that patience to wait for things to be done, so my sewing is very much kelam kabut.

I bought a really basic sewing machine which I thought was a bargain. A super bargain to me. I only need to pay RM 125/month for 6 months. For a basic sewing machine, its not that bad. I learned a lot. It's really important to read the manual to get started and I was quite excited as well when I first used the sewing machine. Remember Singer? yup, its the old rusty sewing machine which works without connecting itself to the plug and uses only the spinning wheels. From that basic, I managed to learn how to sew.

A lot of my friend often ask me how did I learn to sew. Like seriously, I don't know how to sew. I just take some time to read the manual, so I can know how to use the machine and I just sew. I don't have any formal training or really learn how to sew. I bought a book but I thought it was so lousy I had to lose it. So yea, I really dont know I can sew. But of course, being said that, I really do, not know how to sew, much. I have no idea how to take simple measurement and I just tibai all the patters I can tibai since I have no clue how to. Somehow, they all turned out nice.

Check out my little sewing project. So far, I've made a few dress for my daughter and previously, they were hand stiched. Seriously, Hand Stiched!!
My first baju kurung for Amyra.

The dresses and the Skirt are hand stitched!
